Silicon Carbide Products, Inc. (SCP) releases SCProbond™ A/CRC Wear Compound
SCP has developed and released SCProbond™ A/CRC Wear Compound for use as an abrasion and corrosion resistant wear compound for use in extreme applications.
Horseheads, NY (December 4, 2018) – Silicon Carbide Products, Inc. (SCP), An industry leader in custom manufactured Silicon Carbide components, has released SCProbond™ A/CRC, an easy to mix, trowel-on wear compound. SCProbond™ A/CRC is specifically designed as an easy to mix and apply wear liner with excellent adhesion qualities. Additionally, SCProbond™ A/CRC resists both chemical attack and sliding abrasion.
“Having recently released a premium epoxy adhesive to bond our silicon carbide ceramics to both metal and cement, it only made sense to add a trowel-on wear and corrosion solution to our product lineup.” says President and owner, Martin Metzger. “These two part epoxies are easy to mix, easy to spread, and provide a functionally cured bond in only 7 hours.”
SCProbond™ A/CRC Wear Compound was designed for use in extreme industrial environments such as those found in mining, construction, petrochemical, power generation, and manufacturing operations. Some typical application areas for SCProbond™ A/CRC would be as a protective layer in pneumatic conveyance, pump housings, elbows, hoppers, cyclones, and dust collectors.
The new epoxy adhesive products are now available for sales and distribution and Technical Bulletins and Safety Data Sheets are currently available upon request. To submit an inquiry please contact Rick Cleveland at 607.562.8599 or via email at
