Silicon Carbide Products, Inc. (SCP) releases SCProbond™ TN Thick Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide
SCP has developed and released SCProbond™ TN Thick Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide for use as a cost effective abrasion resistant refractory for use in extreme applications where abrasion and thermal cycling are common.
Horseheads, NY (December 4, 2018) – Silicon Carbide Products, Inc. (SCP), An industry leader in custom manufactured Silicon Carbide components, has released SCProbond™ TN, a thick nitride bonded silicon carbide material. SCProbond™ TN is specifically designed for use in areas where deep nitriding is desired to assure sustained predictable wear is desired. It is also ideal for refractory applications that involve significant thermal cycling as testing has shown that it gains strength in these conditions.

SCProbond™ TN is designed for use in extreme industrial environments where predictable wear rates are desired.such as those found in mining, construction, petrochemical, power generation, and manufacturing operations. Some typical application areas for SCProbond™ WRC would be as a protective layer in pneumatic conveyance, pump housings, elbows, hoppers, cyclones, and dust collectors.
